Job summary

Dollar General is hiring for a Cashier/Stocker to support store leadership in the absence of management. You will help maintain plan-o-grams, provide exemplary customer service, and perform duties to maximize profitability and teamwork.

The role includes unloading trucks, stocking shelves, operating the register, and assisting customers. A high school diploma or equivalent and some supervisory experience are preferred; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and customer service is expected.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise; maintain clean, organized store areas.
• Operate cash register, handle payments, and bag merchandise.
• Greet customers and assist them in locating items.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and product displays.
• Maintain store safety, analyze losses, and protect company assets.
