Dollar General Corporation is seeking a capable Cashier/Stocker who can act in a lead capacity when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent. The role emphasizes exemplary customer service, merchandise stocking, and loss-prevention practices while maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and displaying items, operating the register, handling cash, and assisting customers.

Competenze

• Requires ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Understanding of cash, facility and safety policies and practices.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Mansioni

• Unload trucks according to the store process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Help customers locate merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, restrooms and stockroom.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; provide customer service.
• Authorize refunds and overrides in absence of management; monitor cash levels.
• Maintain cashier accountability and security practices.
