Job summary

Tharp Consulting is seeking a dependable Cashier/Stocker to deliver excellent customer service, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, organized store. The role includes leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.

You will unload trucks, rotate stock, assist customers, operate cash registers, and ensure a secure shopping environment with adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and process received merchandise.

• Greet customers and support store setup while following safety rules.
• In managers’ absence, approve refunds, manage cash drawer, monitor security, and document actions.

Key Duties

• Unload trucks and follow procedures for receiving and unpacking merchandise.
• Stock, rotate, face merchandise, and assist with plan-o-gram implementation.
• Assist customers in locating products and operate cash registers, handle transactions, and bag items.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning floors, restrooms, and stockrooms, and manage trash and cardboard disposal.
• Greet customers and support store setup, while adhering to safety and security policies.
• In the absence of management, authorize refunds, manage cash drawer, monitor security, and complete required documentation.

Qualifications And Skills

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of cash register functions, safety policies, and merchandise presentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safety practices and plan-o-gram compliance.

Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with at least six months of supervisory or related experience.
