Job summary

Living Hope Church in Springfield, MO is seeking a Lead Pastor to shepherd, launch and relaunch a multiplying, Spirit-led community shaped by the Gospel. Part-time to start (20–25 hours/week) with Sundays required and possible weekday growth as the church expands.

The role emphasizes preaching biblically faithful sermons, pastoral care, and leadership of volunteers, with a mission to re-engage members and reach families while partnering with the Local Core Team to guide vision and ministry.

Qualifications

• Clear sense of calling to pastoral and missional ministry; mature faith in Jesus Christ.
• Meets biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1).
• Proven experience in preaching, teaching, and pastoral care; able to lead church plants.

Responsibilities

• Preach biblically faithful, Gospel-centered sermons and lead worship with volunteers.
• Rebuild and relaunch the church by re-engaging current members and reaching new families.
• Provide pastoral care through visiting, counseling, and encouragement; lead discipleship.
• Oversee operations (finances, facilities, communications) and manage admin tasks.
• Develop and empower volunteer leaders to make disciples.
• Lead the church to live missionally in Springfield and build community partnerships.
• Partner with Local Core Team to set direction and goals; ensure mission alignment.
