Tigg's Canteen Services seeks a permanent part-time Lead Cook for the Cheboygan County Jail in Cheboygan, Michigan. The role involves preparing meals to standards, leading kitchen operations, and training staff.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with benefits, PTO, and on-the-job training. Availability includes rotating weekends/holidays and shifts between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, in a structured correctional setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional setting.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and production guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to company recipes and standards.
• Assist with food preparation, baking, cooking, and kitchen sanitation.
• Lead and support kitchen operations during assigned shifts.
• Train, instruct, and assist team members as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Follow all facility and food safety regulations.
