Job summary

Midtown Oaks Post Acute in California is seeking a part-time, on-call Janitor/Laundry Aide to maintain clean linens for residents. You will sort, wash, dry and fold laundry, label new clothing, collect items daily, and deliver clean laundry to resident rooms while following sanitary procedures.

No certifications required, GED or high school diploma preferred, and 1 year of experience preferred. Lifting up to 50 pounds and standing/walking are involved; ambient noise is low to moderate.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Reasoning ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and use equipment safely.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
