Job summary

McKinley Park Care Center in Sacramento is seeking an On Call Janitor (Maintenance) to manage linen and laundry for residents. You will sort, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens, label new items, and deliver clean laundry to resident rooms while following sanitary procedures.

This on-call position has no supervisory responsibilities. GED or High School Diploma is required, with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Make available and manage linen for residents.
• Collect laundry daily or as needed.
• Sort, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely.
