Job summary

WeCare Centers at Sycamore Care Center in Montoursville, PA is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide for a part-time position. You will operate washers and dryers, sort and distribute linens, and keep the laundry area clean and organized. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED.

Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and follow written and verbal instructions is required. Prior laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, and a compassionate

Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compassionate attitude and ability to work well with elderly residents.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Collect soiled laundry from resident rooms and designated collection points.
Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Sort, fold, and distribute clean linens and clothing to appropriate locations.
Label resident clothing and ensure personal items are returned to the correct resident.
Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
