Job summary

WeCare Centers at Sycamore Care Center is seeking a dedicated part-time Laundry Aide for our Montoursville, PA community. You will handle soiled laundry, operate washers/dryers, and ensure linens are ready and delivered to residents with care.

The role requires ability to stand, lift up to 40 lbs, and follow written and verbal instructions. Healthcare experience is a plus, with competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous laundry/housekeeping experience in healthcare is a plus.
• Ability to stand long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled laundry from resident rooms and collection points.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect soiled laundry from resident rooms and designated collection points

• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently

• Sort, fold, and distribute clean linens and clothing to appropriate locations

• Label resident clothing and ensure personal items are returned to the correct resident

• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times

• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Compassionate attitude and ability to work well with elderly residents

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
