Qualifications

• Must be able to speak English in an understandable manner.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and laundry methods.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move equipment and linens over 50 pounds as required.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled laundry and place in appropriate containers.
• Wash, dry, fold, count, stack, and distribute clean laundry to residents daily.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and equipment, following infection control practices.
• Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing staff and report equipment issues.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures and assist with other housekeeping duties as assigned.
