Job summary

Seton Hall University seeks adjunct professors for languages in Arabic, Chinese, Classics-Greek-Latin, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish. Teaching occurs in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures within the College of Arts and Sciences. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree or higher and have experience teaching languages.

Teaching loads are one to two courses per semester at elementary to Advanced levels. All classes are taught in person.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher.
• Fluency in the language taught.
• Experience teaching languages.
• Legal status to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, student-centered instruction across various levels.
• Design, administer and evaluate student assignments and assessments in alignment with departmental guidelines.
• Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback on assessments.
• Manage accurate student records in Canvas and meet grading deadlines.
• Coordinate with full-time faculty and language program directors for instructional alignment.
• Participate in Department events as needed.
