Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA is seeking a part-time Lactation Consultant to support breastfeeding families in pediatric settings. 20 hours per week across York practices.

The role provides education, assessment, and follow-up for routine and complex breastfeeding cases, collaborating with the care team to promote evidence-based lactation care. An RN license is required; IBCLC must be obtained within 2 years of hire.

Qualifications

• RN license at hire or multi-state license
• IBCLC credential to be obtained within 2 years of hire
• 1 year of relevant nursing experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct lactation care and counseling per the breastfeeding plan of care.
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized breastfeeding plans.
• Document patient and newborn responses and progress in the medical record.
• Support shared decision-making and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
