GEL Laboratories,LLC, an affiliate of The GEL Group, Inc., is looking for a Support Technician to join our team of professionals in our Charleston, SC office toreceivesamples from clients and inspect for proper container, temperature, preservatives, etc.This position focuses onfollowingprocedures describing how to properly receive samples from clients in support ofenvironmental compliance programs for water, soil, and hazardous waste samples.This entry-level rolenecessitatesstrong attention to detail, proven ability to work both quickly and efficiently in a warehouse atmosphere, and the ability to work within a team structure.The successful candidate will be an effective communicator,haveflexibilityto come in early, stay late, and work weekends based on shipments of samples needing to be processed, andpossessa general understanding of laboratory protocols and procedures.
This position requires working in a busy production laboratory, safely handling and storing RAD Safety-controlled material and samples. Safety is a priority, and negligence is not tolerated. Safety equipment is provided, and use is mandatory.
