Job summary

Columbia, MO-based Eurofins USA Food Testing is seeking a part-time Laboratory Technician I to support customer testing workflows on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 6:30pm. The role focuses on sample registration, data entry in eLIMS, and learning to operate dairy testing instruments under supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in biology or a related field, possess a basic scientific background, and are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Biology/microbiology/ molecular biology/food science or related field.
• Basic scientific background or interest.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.
• Adhere to quality measures to meet standards set by regulatory bodies and company requirements.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Registration of incoming samples; maintain neat, accurate records for QC tests or regulatory purposes.
• Enter the sample data into Eurofins eLIMS systems accurately and timely.
• Learn to operate dairy testing instruments and ensure results are properly validated.
• Identify process difficulties and report with proposed solutions to management.
• Maintain readiness to respond to queries from clients, staff, and coworkers.
• Communicate with inter- and intra-department colleagues; promote sound business practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
