Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing in Columbia, MO is seeking a Lab Technician I for an on-call, part-time shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 5:00 am–2:00 pm). You will work under the Laboratory Manager, following quality systems and safety rules to support dairy testing procedures.

Responsibilities include sample registration, data entry into eLIMS, operating dairy testing instruments, and communicating with team and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Biology, microbiology, molecular biology, food science or related field.
• Basic scientific background or interest.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities.
• Adhere to quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by NCIMS 2400 forms or other regulatory bodies.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative to assigned analytical work; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Registration of incoming samples, maintaining a neat and accurate record system of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes.
• Enter the sample data into Eurofins eLIMS systems in a timely and accurate manner.
• Learn to operate dairy testing instruments efficiently and ensure results are properly validated.
• Identify process difficulties and report these together with proposed solutions to management.
• Maintain a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to the queries and needs of clients, staff, and co-workers.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees. Communicate orally and in writing to co-workers. This includes “intra” and “inter” departmental employees.
• Promote the company image through the exercising of sound and ethical business practices as related to the public and our customers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
