Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Student Assistant 2 to support the Physical Activity and Education Services (PAES) lab and research activities. The role involves assisting faculty and staff in academic programs and patient care, and helping with clinical research and rodent model studies under supervision.

Responsibilities include basic lab work, data entry, and maintaining lab equipment, with a focus on professional, courteous interactions with participants and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and routine administrative duties.
• Assist in a research laboratory and support faculty/staff in academic programs or patient care.
• Support senior personnel in clinical research involving humans and experimental research involving rodent models.
• Assist with lab-based research activities following established protocols and conduct routine experiments under supervision, including basic biochemical and analytical procedures.
• Utilize and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including spectrophotometry and HPLC.
• Collect, process, label, and preserve biological specimens.
• Perform accurate data entry, organization, and collation using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Perform basic administrative or office duties as needed to support research and assist with lab organization, inventory, and compliance‑related tasks.
• Provide professional and courteous interactions with faculty, staff, students, and research participants, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
