Job summary

The Slate Denver, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is seeking a PT Steward in Denver, CO. The role supports all outlets and banquet areas by maintaining a clean kitchen, pantry, and storage space, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies.

Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishes, stocking, following health regulations, and assisting with event setup. Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required. This position is non-exempt and part-time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures in a kitchen environment.
• Experience in a kitchen or stewarding role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Monitor the dishwashing machine for proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Assist in transporting food and equipment to banquet and dining areas.
• Follow health department regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Dispose of trash and recycling per regulations.
• Restock dishes, glassware, and silverware in the kitchen and service areas.
• Communicate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of kitchen equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks and assist with setting up/breaking down equipment for events.
