Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on working knowledge cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust hoods.
• NFPA 96 knowledge and related safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Build, refine, and deliver a short-term certification training curriculum for commercial kitchen exhaust system cleaners.
• Provide classroom and hands-on instruction on hoods, filters, ductwork, and related components.
• Teach NFPA 96 requirements, state expectations, and industry best practices related to inspection, cleaning, and documentation.
• Instruct students on safety hazards and proper shutdown/lockout procedures.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and practical evaluations.
• Maintain detailed records of attendance and progress.
