Job summary

Gordon Health & Rehab is hiring a part-time Kitchen Assistant to prepare meals per dietician-driven menus and assist in tray-line service for elderly residents. You will operate common kitchen equipment, maintain sanitation, and help ensure timely service of meals, including specialized diets, while supporting a compassionate, mission-driven facility.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred), strong teamwork, and good communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, menus, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math for portions and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals per menus created by dieticians.
• Operates kitchen equipment (mixer, slicer, oven, steamer).
• Cleans work surfaces and stores unused foods.
• Ensures meals are served on time and dietary orders are followed.
• Assists in tray line service and food distribution.
