Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to read menus and follow standardized recipes.
• Knowledge of infection control policies and procedures.
• Proficient with basic computer applications (Outlook/Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

• Prepares various foods according to menus created by dieticians.
• Operates kitchen equipment: mixer, slicer, food processor, oven, steamer.
• Cleans surfaces, stores unused foods, and maintains hygiene.
• Represents meals for elderly residents and follows portion controls.
• Keeps dishes and equipment clean; follows infection control rules.
• Picks up shifts as needed and coordinates with maintenance for repairs.
• Reads menus, follows recipes, and supports diet orders and substitutions.
• Ensures meals are served on time and in accordance with dietary plans.
