Job summary

The College of Lake County in Grayslake seeks an Adjunct Faculty member for Kinesiology (Activity Courses) to teach in-person classes such as Aerobic Fitness, Strength Training, and Pickleball on campus.

You will prepare lectures and lesson plans, deliver content using LMS and digital tools, and grade student work while observing safety and lab protocols. The role requires collaboration and timely record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with one year tested experience and relevant certification.
• Current national certification in kinesiology discipline (ACSM/NSCA/ACE/AFAA).
• Experience teaching at the college level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in discipline as scheduled each semester with student-centered methods.
• Meet classes on campus at assigned times and locations.
• Develop, revise, and maintain instructional materials and Syllabi.
• Observe and evaluate student performance; provide timely feedback.
• Support student retention by identifying at-risk students and guiding them to services.
• Be available for student consultations via phone or email.
• Deliver content using LMS and digital tools; include objectives and assessments.
• Encourage course evaluations and use feedback to improve delivery.
• Maintain accurate records for grading, attendance, and deadlines.
• Uphold academic integrity per College policies; document concerns.
