A local education institution is seeking applications for a part-time afternoon Kindergarten Aide at Crystal Lake School. Ellington Public Schools is seeking applications for a part-time afternoon kindergarten aide at Crystal Lake School.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

Successful candidates will work as a program aide in the kindergarten class under the direction of a certified teacher.

• Supervise lunch and recess periods.
• Work with young children ages 5‑6.
• Perform clerical and instructional duties.
• Possess good organizational skills and the ability to multi‑task.
• Work to timely schedules.

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and maintain confidentiality. Candidates will be required to submit to a state and national criminal history check, as well as a DCF review as required by Connecticut state statute. Previous work in a school atmosphere is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Position is Monday ‑ Friday. Candidates will work each day that school is in session. This is an at‑will position. The starting hourly rate for the 2025‑2026 school year is $16.94.
