A local education institution is seeking applications for a part-time afternoon Kindergarten Aide at Crystal Lake School. In this role, you will supervise lunchtime and recess for young students and assist with clerical and instructional duties. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality. This position works Monday through Friday when school is in session, with an hourly starting rate of $16.94 for the 2025-2026 school year.

Ellington Public Schools is seeking applications for a part-time afternoon kindergarten aide at Crystal Lake School.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

Successful candidates will work as a program aide in the kindergarten class under the direction of a certified teacher.

• Supervise lunch and recess periods.
• Work with young children ages 5‑6.
• Perform clerical and instructional duties.
• Possess good organizational skills and the ability to multi‑task.
• Work to timely schedules.

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and maintain confidentiality. Candidates will be required to submit to a state and national criminal history check, as well as a DCF review as required by Connecticut state statute. Previous work in a school atmosphere is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Position is Monday ‑ Friday. Candidates will work each day that school is in session. This is an at‑will position. The starting hourly rate for the 2025‑2026 school year is $16.94.
