Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Indiana is seeking dedicated Facilities Staff to support daily operations, keep spaces clean and ready for programs, and help run events. This role emphasizes dependable, detail-oriented work behind the scenes to uphold the center’s mission and safe environment.

Two part-time positions at 19 hours per week are available. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour with responsibilities including custodial tasks, grounds maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency
• Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to work without supervision
• Certifications: Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver’s qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 30 days of employment
• Skills/Abilities: Able to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all private and public areas to ensure that users of the facility receive safe, effective, and acceptable service
• Maintain the facilities by cleaning, repairing, and replacing fixtures and equipment as necessary to assure a safe and productive facility
• Adhere to, and if necessary, reorganize the daily custodial schedule of the building internally and externally
• Maintain the grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, property upkeep, and security
• Assist in the execution of events as directed by a supervisor
• Other tasks as assigned by leadership
