The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in South Bend is seeking a part-time Kroc Attendant to help with maintenance, programming support, and youth-oriented activities. The role emphasizes strong communication and building relationships with members and guests.

Shifts include 3:45 PM–8:00 PM on weekdays and Saturdays 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, with safety training requirements completed within the first 30 days.

Starting pay: $12.00

Part Time: 19 hours per week

Available Shifts: Weekdays 3:45 PM - 8:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Job Objective:

As a Kroc Attendant, you will perform a variety of duties such as cleaning exercise machines and program spaces, facilitating and/or assisting with programs and events, checking out/in equipment, assisting with scorekeeping, and activity and class prep & cleanup for the St. Joseph County Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. The Kroc Attendant must demonstrate strong communication skills, be outgoing, enjoy building relationships with a variety of members and guests, and enjoy working with youth.

What You Will Do

General Duties:

• Maintain accurate equipment check-in and check-out procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned area and its equipment following departmental-specific guidelines
• Return all equipment to the proper location
• Report all equipment breakdowns according to departmental procedure
• Enforce all safety guidelines that pertain to the assigned area on a constant and consistent basis
• Other tasks as assigned by leadership

Specific Duties:

• Responsible for the safety, supervision, and active entertainment of all children placed in the Kids Watch area, while parents/guardians are participating in Kroc Center activities.
• Maintain readiness and cleanliness of the Kids Watch area by cleaning equipment, toys, and play areas as determined by Policy and Procedures
• Maintain daily observation logs and all paperwork related to the assigned shift
• Must complete Safe from Harm training and CPR Training within the first 30 days of employment

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Physical Requirements Include:

• Good speaking, hearing, and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity

Working Conditions: Work is performed at the KROC Center. Some weekend and evening work is required
