Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking is hiring part-time After School Children's Cooking Instructors to bring hands-on, kid-friendly culinary enrichment to schools and community sites in Colorado Springs.

Instructors lead one-hour classes, work 2–5 pm, and engage 8-14 children per session. Training is provided; ServSafe certification is encouraged and can be obtained before teaching. Competitive pay and comprehensive support are included.

Qualifications

• Availability at least 2 days a week (Mon-Fri, 2-5 pm).
• Commitment to teaching full sessions (4-12 weeks).
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification (can obtain before teaching).
• Ability to manage and engage 8-14 children.
• Access to reliable transportation; punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Lead hour-long enrichment cooking classes for children on-site at various locations.
• Create and teach creative, kid-friendly recipes and demonstrations.
• Review weekly curricula and prepare for instruction; shop for fresh ingredients as needed.
• Teach basic kitchen skills and discuss nutrition, history, and geography behind recipes.
