Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts, part of National Veterinary Associates, is seeking a Part-Time Kennel Technician (Pet Pro) to care for dogs and cats in daycare and boarding, keeping our resort clean and welcoming. You’ll walk dogs, feed and medicate as needed, monitor health and behavior, document care notes, and interact with pet parents.

Weekend and holiday shifts required; ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work indoors/outdoors.

Qualifications

• Passionate about dogs and cats and their wellbeing.
• Gentle, patient, and safety-focused in handling animals.
• Able to supervise multiple dogs at once and prevent conflicts.
• Detail-oriented with clear care documentation.
• Friendly communication with pet parents and team members.
• Reliable, punctual, and collaborative in a team.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs and supervise playgroups to ensure safety.
• Feed pets and administer medications as needed.
• Clean and sanitize pet rooms and common areas.
• Monitor pet health, behavior, and interactions.
• Document care notes and communicate with leadership.
• Engage pets in enrichment activities (fetch, walks, basic obedience).
• Comfort shy guests and manage high-energy groups.
• Handle laundry and general facility upkeep.
• Scoop poop, clean messes, and maintain a clean environment.
