Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts, part of National Veterinary Associates, is seeking a Part-Time Kennel Technician (Pet Pro) to care for dogs and cats in daycare and boarding, keeping our resort clean and welcoming. You’ll walk dogs, feed and medicate as needed, monitor health and behavior, document care notes, and interact with pet parents.

Weekend and holiday shifts required; ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs and supervise playgroups to ensure safety.
• Feed pets and administer medications as needed.
• Clean and sanitize pet rooms and common areas.
• Monitor pet health, behavior, and interactions.
• Document care notes and communicate with leadership.
• Engage pets in enrichment activities (fetch, walks, basic obedience).
• Comfort shy guests and manage high-energy groups.
• Handle laundry and general facility upkeep.
• Scoop poop, clean messes, and maintain a clean environment.

We’re looking for a Part-Time Kennel Technician (internally called a Pet Pro) to join our team and care for our furry guests at their home away from home.

What You’ll Do

As a Pet Pro, you’ll be hands‑on in both daycare and boarding, providing safe, loving care while keeping our resort clean and welcoming.

Your day may include:

• Walking dogs and supervising playgroups
• Feeding pets and administering medications
• Cleaning and sanitizing pet rooms and common areas
• Monitoring pet health, behavior, and interactions
• Documenting care notes and communicating with leadership
• Engaging pets in enrichment activities like fetch, walks, and basic obedience games
• Comforting shy guests and managing high-energy groups
• Laundry and general facility upkeep
• And yes — you’ll scoop poop, clean messes, o home with fur on your clothes, and probably get plenty of sloppy kisses.

You must be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures
• Handle large and small dogs confidently
• Work weekends and holidays
• Be comfortable around pet messes and cleaning products
