Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Passionate about caring for animals, especially dogs.
• Ability to work with or around sick animals and handling potentially hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs.
• Oversee multiple dogs in an outside setting for playtimes.
• Provide fresh food and water.
• Clean animal waste, spilled food and other debris from kennel.
• Check dogs/cats in for boarding, playtime, and daycare.
• Take animals to and from the kennel.
• Bathing.
• Read body language and signs of aggression.
• Ensure safety of everyone.
• Assist other hospital staff.
• Clean, fold, and stock kennel laundry throughout the clinic.
• Confident in handling animals.
