Job summary

Southern Avenue Charter School is seeking a Part-Time Interventionist to provide targeted support for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The role focuses on reading and mathematics interventions, collaborating with teachers and the RTI team to drive progress.

Responsibilities include data-driven instruction, progress monitoring, and communicating with families. This position may require working across classrooms and scheduling flexibility based on school needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Tennessee teaching license preferred.
• Experience with elementary reading or math interventions preferred.
• Familiarity with RTI/MTSS frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and one-on-one interventions in reading and math.
• Assess student needs using screening and progress data.
• Develop and monitor intervention plans and student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, RTI Coordinator, and families.
• Attend RTI meetings and maintain confidentiality per FERPA.
