Job summary

Work Ready is seeking a part-time Job Coach to support high school students with mild to moderate disabilities in community-based Work Experience placements in McKinney, Texas. You will assist students at employer sites to learn tasks, understand expectations, and build independence.

This role requires a background check and completion of the UNT WISE Job Skills Training program. Prior experience in related human services fields is a plus.

Qualifications

• Background check required.
• Online UNT WISE Job Skills Training certificate required.
• Preferred experience in Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Education, Coaching, Counseling, Mental Health, Social Work, Non-Profit, or other Human Services.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support to students during work shifts.
• Teach and reinforce job skills for workplace success.
• Model professional behavior and communication.
• Support students in problem-solving and understanding workplace expectations.
• Communicate observations, progress, and concerns to staff.
• Assist in developing strategies, accommodations, or prompts to increase independence.
• Represent Work Ready at employer partner locations.
