Job summary

The Salvation Army Tucson is seeking a part-time on-site Facilities/Maintenance/Janitorial team member to perform daily janitorial services and general maintenance at assigned facilities, including offices, restrooms, classrooms, chapel, kitchen and food pantry.

Responsibilities include cleaning the vehicle fleet, parking areas, setting up rooms for programs, stocking supplies and assisting with safety checks.

Qualifications

• Must possess ServSafe Food Handler certification.
• Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License.
• High school diploma.
• Minimum one year of building maintenance and/or janitorial service preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

• BASIC PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to perform daily janitorial services and provide general maintenance at assigned facilities.

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain cleanliness of the family services and corps buildings including but not limited to offices, restrooms, classrooms, chapel, kitchen and food pantry
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle fleet
• Maintain cleanliness of parking lot, lawns and walkways
• Conduct minor facility and equipment repairs
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and maintenance equipment
• Setup and prepare rooms for program usage
• Transport food donations and equipment/supplies as assigned
• Assist with monthly and quarterly safety checks
• Assist with seasonal projects including but not limited to food drives, toy drives, Red Kettles
• Other duties as assigned
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to speak and write the English language at a high and professional level
• Minimum one (1) year of building maintenance and/or janitorial service preferred
• High degree of confidentiality

• Computer literate, in Windows environment (Microsoft Office), Word, Excel and Outlook preferred

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
