Tavola Italian Market is a family-run Italian specialty market and café in New York. We are seeking a dependable, friendly team member for part-time work. Training will be provided for menu items, the deli slicer, and the POS system.

The role involves customer service, food preparation, cleaning, stocking, and helping with opening/closing tasks. Experience is helpful but not required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsabilidades

Join a friendly, hands-on team at a family-owned Italian specialty market and café. Experience is helpful but not required—we’re happy to train the right person. We’re looking for someone dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working with customers, and ready to support the team wherever needed.. .

Responsibilities include:

• Helping customers and taking orders.
• Using the register and POS system.
• Preparing panini, salads, platters, and other simple foods.
• Slicing and packaging meats and cheeses.
• Restocking products and supplies.
• Keeping the market clean and organized.
• Washing dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Assisting with opening and closing tasks.
• Supporting coworkers during busy periods.

You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, including customer service, food preparation, cleaning, and stocking. Training will be provided on the menu, deli slicer, and POS system.. .

Restaurant, deli, café, grocery, customer-service, Spanish-language, deli slicer, or POS experience is a plus, but none of these are required.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Dependable and punctual.
• Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers.
• Willing to work, learn, and contribute as part of a team.
• Able to stay organized and productive during a shift.
• Comfortable with cleaning, food preparation, and other hands-on tasks.
