Job summary

Santa Fe College seeks an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Programming, Database and Analysis to teach a range of information technology courses onsite at Blount Hall, Gainesville. The role may include MS Office for college computing, database administration, data analysis, cloud applications, and project management based on qualifications.

Responsibilities include designing courses, delivering instruction, evaluating student learning, and maintaining communication within the college.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a qualifying field or master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields
• AA or AS degree with at least 18 semester hours in qualifying field or a related field and 3 to 5 years of progressive work experience in any of the qualifying fields
• Qualifying fields include Computer Science or Information Technology and related disciplines and 3–5 years of work experience in the IT field

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver information technology education instruction in didactic, laboratory and/or classroom settings
• Support and promote the college and departmental missions centered on excellence in teaching and learning through quality instruction
• Collaborate with department chair, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum to cultivate mastery of course content
• Provide students with frequent, timely assessment of and clear feedback regarding academic performance
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records such as attendance, grading and learning outcomes
