Job summary

University of Kansas Edwards Campus seeks qualified scholars and professionals to join a pool for part-time Instructor positions in information technology. Instructors teach undergraduate or graduate courses and must hold an advanced degree. Appointments are for one semester, renewable, contingent on enrollment and background checks.

Positions are located on the Edwards Campus; successful candidates will have at least a Master’s in IT/CS/CE/EE and practical IT experience. Doctorate preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT, CS, CE, EE or closely related discipline; other fields considered with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares and presents lectures for undergraduate or graduate IT courses.
• Develops and grades assignments, projects and exams.
• Supervises course projects and in-class lab sessions; maintains office hours.
• Collaborates with colleagues and stays current in the field; adheres to policies.
