Job summary

Data Intelligence, LLC in Vienna, VA seeks a part-time Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support a federal client in national security operations. The position is on-site in Vienna, VA, 8 hours per week, and involves ensuring compliance, risk management, and cyber defense.

Candidate must have at least five years as an ISSO or similar role, familiarity with NIST/ISO/CIS controls, and experience with incident response. Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years as an ISSO or in a closely related cybersecurity role.
• Experience supporting 24/7 operational systems.
• Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity practices and policies.
• Hands-on incident response, investigation and management experience.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Experience with security tooling: firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM.
• Knowledge of data encryption and cryptographic key management.
• Experience ensuring FISMA compliance and agency standards.
• Windows and Linux security features and controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support system security planning, implementation, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, FISMA, and regs.
• Monitor security controls and respond to incidents and events.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigations.
• Maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and security documents.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on A&A activities and continuous monitoring.
