Job summary

WP Engine is seeking an Internal Communications Intern to join our team in Austin, TX. This part-time internship (~20–30 hours/week) supports Product and Engineering communications and broader corporate initiatives, helping craft clear, engaging content for employees.

The role focuses on writing, storytelling, and learning how internal communications work within a fast-growing tech company. It offers exposure to multiple teams and topics, with flexibility around a student’s schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, and grammar skills.
• Passion for storytelling and interest in journalism, communications, or internal communications.
• Ability to quickly learn about new topics.
• Creative thinking and ability to translate complex information into clear content.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination and execution of company town halls and internal meetings.
• Gather information and content from speakers and stakeholders.
• Create and format presentations for internal meetings and events.
• Support meeting technology and ensure events run smoothly.
• Write, edit, and help produce internal newsletters and employee communications.
• Collaborate with teams to turn information into engaging content.
• Develop stories highlighting activities across WP Engine.
• Assist with internal web content and pages.
• Contribute to other internal communications projects as needed.
