Job summary

Red River Commodities invites an Internal Communications & Engagement Intern to gain hands-on experience in keeping employees informed across the organization, working with HR, L&D, and leadership to craft communications and story-led engagement.

Ideal for students in Communications, Marketing, HR, or related fields, this role covers digital signage, SharePoint/Teams/ADP content, event support, and frontline engagement, with opportunities to develop writing, project management, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently graduated in communications, marketing, HR, journalism, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Familiarity with social platforms and Canva; eager to learn new tools.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and in a team.
• Interest in employee engagement, internal communications, or employer branding.
• Experience with school organizations or events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating employee communications, including emails and slides.
• Support communication campaigns and employee events.
• Maintain communication calendars and proofreading materials.
• Manage digital signage and platforms (SharePoint, Teams, ADP).
• Gather employee stories for channels.
• Support LMS administration and translations for multilingual employees.
