Job summary

Camia Brown Interiors in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Part-time Interior Designer / Project Designer to collaborate with the Founder across residential and commercial projects. The role is approximately 20 hours per week, primarily remote with local NYC in-person needs.

You will develop design concepts, source FF&E, and prepare presentations while coordinating with vendors, showrooms, and contractors. Growth potential exists as workload expands.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential and/or commercial interior design.
• Strong space planning and furniture layout skills.
• Ability to develop elevations and design details.
• Familiar with furniture, lighting, materials, and vendors.
• Ability to source across budgets without compromising design integrity.
• Comfort with custom cabinetry/millwork.
• Highly organized with multi-priority management.
• Detail-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and translate direction into cohesive presentations.
• Source FF&E and manage procurement, quotes, and lead times.
• Create floor plans, elevations, and design details.
• Assist with millwork and cabinetry development.
• Prepare client presentations and specification materials.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project partners.
• Maintain project schedules and design documentation.
• Support multiple projects concurrently.
