Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,000-1,200 per credit hour equivalent, dependent on instructional level, and subject matter expertise, with courses ranging from 1-6 credits.

As the non‑credit education division of Nevada State University, Workforce Development delivers professional development, continuing education, industry‑aligned training, stackable micro‑credentials, certificates, and digital badges designed to support learners at various stages of their educational and professional journeys.
Programs are intentionally designed to build upon participants’ prior learning, workforce experience, technical education, and career goals while responding to emerging industry and community needs.
The department offers a broad portfolio of programs serving both adult and youth learners through flexible, accelerated, and applied learning formats. Professional and continuing education programs provide in‑demand knowledge and workforce skills through short‑form and modular course offerings lasting up to 15 weeks and made up of 3-6 short courses taught by one or more instructors.
Youth programs support the growth and development of learners through engaging, interdisciplinary educational experiences that promote academic exploration, career awareness, and workforce readiness through programs scheduled as week‑long courses.
