Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Nevada State invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person, online, and/or hybrid courses in Psychology – modality will depend on teaching assignment. Applications will be considered on an as‑needed basis determined by course availability.

Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,160 per credit hour. Courses are 3-4 credits.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in higher education.
• Evidence of effective teaching, e.g., student evaluations, observations, etc.
• If applying to teach online asynchronous courses, evidence of engaging content delivery that goes beyond reading textbook chapters (e.g., recorded lectures or videos; application assignments).
