Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor of Economics for FY 2027. The position teaches college-level economics, develops syllabi, evaluates student mastery, and supports program development across Clark County campuses in Las Vegas.

Availability for day, evening, and weekend courses is preferred. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Economics with 18 graduate credits in the subject; a Doctorate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Economics with 18 graduate credits in the subject from a regionally accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Teach college-level courses in Economics across Clark County campuses.
• Develop syllabi and course materials.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and course outcomes.
• Provide teaching experience, advisement, recruitment, and curriculum development.
• Be available to teach day, evening, and weekend courses.

• Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
• Teach at multiple campuses in Clark County.
• Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekend courses.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Economics from a regionally accredited college or university with 18 graduate credits in the subject beingtaught from a regionally accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Economics from a regionally accredited college or university.

Salary

$925.00 per credit hour. Courses/Credits assigned may vary by semester.
