Job summary

CSN Henderson Campus seeks a part-time Welding Technology Instructor to deliver lecture and lab sessions, ensuring safety and adherence to curriculum. You will develop course materials, assess student competencies, and advise students throughout the term.

The role requires industry experience and teaching ability, with classes scheduled day, evening, and weekend hours at the Henderson campus. Candidates may need to attend meetings and recruitment activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related industry experience.
• Experience delivering welding lab and lecture instruction.
• Ability to develop syllabi and assess student outcomes.

Responsibilities of a part time Welding Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:

• Lecture and Lab instruction for Welding Technology courses
• Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure adherence to safety precautions
• Develop syllabi and course materials. Instruct students in accordance with curriculum standards and objectives
• Independently evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
• Make necessary provisions to meet learning needs
• Provide advisement to students
• Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of work-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• CWE, CWI, SCWI, NDT Certifications, NCCER Instructor Credentials, OSHA 10, 30
• Welding Technology degree
• One year equivalent full time teaching experience
• Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
• Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
• Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems

Schedule:

Welding Technology courses are taught at the CSN Henderson Campus, in-person and are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends

Salary Information:

$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester
