Job summary

Tulsa Tech is seeking a Part-time Upholstery Instructor to teach adult students in the upholstery topic at a Tulsa campus. The role requires upholstery experience and the ability to deliver competency-based instruction once per week.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent; professional upholstery experience is preferred and classroom teaching is welcome. This position follows the standard rate schedule for non-regular part-time employees, with a $30 per hour hiring range.

• Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
• Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism.
• Demonstrate understanding of Tulsa Tech’s ACD program mission and goals.
• Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
• Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management.

3. Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
4. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
5. Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
6. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. – prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
7. Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech’s ACD program.
8. Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
9. Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.
