Part - Time Instructor, Slot Technology - FY 2027
Responsibilities of a Part-Time Slot Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:
- Lecture and/or lab instruction for Slot Technology courses, including slot machine systems, electronics, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate and assist students with hands‑on lab procedures related to slot machines and electronic gaming equipment, ensuring adherence to all safety precautions.
- Develop syllabi and course materials; instruct students in accordance with established curriculum standards, industry practices, and program objectives.
- Independently evaluate student mastery of technical skills and competencies aligned with course outcomes; implement strategies to support student learning needs.
- Provide advisement to students regarding academic progression and career pathways within the gaming and electronics industry.
- Maintain and support laboratory equipment, including slot machines and associated electronic systems, to ensure effective instructional delivery.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in recruitment and outreach activities as requested.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of work-related experience OR Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies or equivalent degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University.
- 1‑year full‑time teaching experience.
- Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
- Knowledge of computer classroom technologies.
- Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems.
Schedule and Locations
Engineering Technology courses are taught at North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Western Campuses, in‑person/online and are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends.
Compensation
$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
