Job summary

Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute in North Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Aide Instructor to teach Nurse Aide courses and coordinate activities with college programs and outside agencies. Qualifications

• Provide supervisor with objectives and course outlines for each class; manage class start/end times; turn in final grades and reports on time; revise course content as required.
• Assist in evaluating program activities and operations to meet college goals and student needs.

Part-Time Instructor, Nurse Aide instructs classes in Nurse Aide and coordinates assigned activities with other college programs, divisions, departments and outside agencies. Provides support to the Coordinator, Nurse Aide.

Examples of Duties

Essential and other responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Essential Functions:

• Plan and participate in the instruction of classes for the program; prepare supplemental materials and tests; maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
• Prepare objectives, assignments, grading standards, attendance polices and course syllabus to be distributed at first class meeting; select text books; prepare, proctor and grade tests; prepare instructional materials and aids.
• Provide supervisor with objectives and course outlines for each class; begin and end each class on time; turn in reports, final grades and other forms on time; revise course content and objectives as required; administer student evaluations each term; develop new courses in field as required.
• Assist in the evaluation of activities and operations of assigned program; ensure that operations meet the goals and objectives of the college and the needs of the student population.

Traveling Conditions:
Local travel between the Caldwell campus, Watauga campus, or any off-campus sites may be needed.

Experience and Training

Training: Associate Degree in Nursing from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (UDDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) is required.
Must be a registered nurse currently registered in North Carolina with an unencumbered license.

Salary/Compensation: $37.06 - $42.23 per hour
