Job summary

CSN – College of Southern Nevada seeks a Part-time Instructor to teach Leadership, Soft Skills and Microsoft Office across Las Vegas Valley campuses and partner sites. Courses run 4-8 weeks, 3-4 days per week, with in-person, online or hybrid formats.

You will prepare syllabi, deliver materials, assess outcomes, and post grades promptly. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and have experience in leadership development, training or teaching adults.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and experience teaching.
• Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
• Proven experience in leadership development, training, or coaching.
• Strong knowledge of leadership theories and practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with participants.
• Proficiency in using technology and learning management systems.
• Available to teach classes in the daytime.
• Experience in designing and delivering virtual training programs.
• Experience designing/revising curriculum and measuring student performance.

Responsibilities

• Teach Leadership, Soft Skills, Microsoft Office to students in a variety of formats (in-person, online, or hybrid).
• Prepare and deliver course materials and learning assessments using approved syllabus templates.
• Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System for online and hybrid courses.
• Communicate teaching objectives and grading policies; evaluate and assign final grades on a timely basis.
• Update materials regularly and monitor course evaluations to improve the curriculum.
• Meet with students outside of class time; maintain attendance and pass/fail records.
• Engage guest speakers and resources to enhance the curriculum where appropriate.
