Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for American Sign Language (ASL) to teach college-level courses across Clark County campuses. You will develop syllabi, design course materials, and assess student achievement in line with course outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold a BA (preferably in Deafness) with advanced ASL skills and prior ASL teaching experience. Joining CSN offers an opportunity to contribute to curriculum development and advise students in a diverse

Qualifications

BA from a regionally accredited college or university.
Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Deafness related field) from a regionally accredited College or University.
Documented and demonstrated American Sign Language competencies at an advanced level.
Experience teaching in ASL.

Responsibilities

Teaching college-level courses in the field of American Sign Language and Deafness.
Develop syllabi and course materials.
Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
Courses taught at multiple campuses in Clark County.
Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekend courses.
