Job summary

MOESC at FRHSD / Freehold Twp. High School is seeking a PT Paraprofessional (Instructional Assistant) to support students in various workplace settings.

The position runs part-time for 10 months with a 9:05am-12:35pm schedule and pays $21.65/hour, plus PTO for sick and personal days. Qualifications include a HS diploma (preferred college credits or Praxis Parapro), experience with children in a school setting, strong organizational and communication skills, basic computer/email knowledge, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• 60+ college credits and/or Praxis Parapro assessment (preferred).
• Experience with children in a school setting (preferred).
• Good organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and email.
• Ability to pass a criminal history check and show proof of US citizenship or legal resident status.
• Ability to communicate and have command of the English language.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with routine tasks and daily needs as directed.
• Support the teacher to help students reach instructional goals.
• Reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Accompany students between classes and supervise transitions.
• Assist and support students in achieving academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Maintain professional relationships with students.
• Ensure good attendance, appearance and punctuality.
• Assist students with physical limitations as needed, including wheelchair assistance.
• Meet students at the bus and help ensure safe arrival and departure.
