Job summary

MOESC is seeking a Part-Time Paraprofessional (Instructional/Teacher Aide) at St. James School in Red Bank. The position is 10 months or more, up to 29.5 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $21.65 and paid sick and personal days.

The role requires a High School Diploma, basic computer and email skills, and strong interpersonal abilities with children and adults. Applicants must pass a background check and show eligibility to work in the US.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Preferred experience with children in a school setting.
• Good organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and email.
• Good interpersonal skills with children and adults.
• Ability to pass a criminal history check and show proof of US Citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Ability to communicate and have command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily routines and transitions.
• Perform simple errands for students (pencils, lunch trays, etc.).
• Collaborate with the teacher to support instructional goals.
• Support students in reinforcing material introduced by the teacher.
• Accompany students between classes around the building.
• Assist students in achieving academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Establish positive relationships with students.
• Maintain attendance, appearance, and punctuality.
• Assist students with physical limitations as needed.
• Help with student bus safety at start and end of day.
• Perform tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
