Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College seeks adjunct faculty to teach Information Technology courses (OST 105 – Introduction to Information systems), part-time, both in-person and online. Courses run at various campus locations including Bluegrass C&TC - Newtown Pike.

Responsibilities include preparing lessons, delivering instruction, and maintaining student records. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Administrative Office Technology or related field or equivalent

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Administrative Office Technology or related field OR a bachelor’s degree in any field with 12 hours in office tech/business/CS.
• Associate degree plus two years of relevant work experience OR one year plus appropriate certifications including Office Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Plans and carries out instruction and prepares learning materials.
• Provides instruction to students in Information Technology (OST 105).
• Prepares lesson plans and maintains records on student attainment, attendance and progress.
• Uses Blackboard LMS for communication and feedback; follows approved course template and syllabus.
• Maintains classroom order and fosters an active, inclusive learning environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Office Technology or related field

Bachelor’s degree in any field with 12 credits in office technology/business/computer applications

Associate degree in Administrative Office Technology with required work experience or certifications
